We have worked hard recently to ensure that dealing with District Drones is as comfortable as possible, and as such we strive to deliver results to you as quickly as we can. When dealing with sensitive footage such as filming schools, we have additional procedures in place for safety and privacy. schools retain the footage, it never leaves site and is downloaded directly onto school computers, then wiped.
Relax! You tell us exactly what you want and we will work to your specification. our qualified pilots are some of the best in the south west and we guarantee a fantastic result.
District Drones is bound by laws and regulations restricting our ability to fly in certain areas such as air strips. please give the operator a reasonable amount of time if you know you are located within 5 miles of restricted airspace. This allows the operator to gain the necessary clearance to fly.
Other laws to be aware of-
.We must be at least 50 meters above and away from large crowds
.Operators must not be intentionally distracted when flying
.All of our operators are licensed and are issued with operator and flyer IDs by the CAA (civil aviation authority)
.In the UK drones are allowed to fly over property they do not own. This may be necessary in build up areas. We may not take of from private property without consent from the owner.
.We must not hover outside windows or fly close to the ground of properties we do not have consent from.

Hey! My name is Mike, I am a Drone Operator working out of the south west. With 3+ years experience in commercial Aviation, we can cater to all your needs. I've carried out hundreds of flights both commercially and privately for years. I am fully licenced to operate Drones up to 25KG, skilfully and effectively. At District Drones we always conform to CAA and legal regulations, therefore we can ensure everything is done legally and professionally, every time.

Cost
At district drones we try to keep everything as low cost as possible, ensuring a high quality, professional video that fits within your budget.
Hourly rate
The hourly rate for a drone operator from District drones is £50 per hour. this reflects the risk and skill associated with taking an expensive asset into the air. Call out fees to be discussed with clients relevant to the their location.
Insurance
There is a compulsory charge of £8 for every flight. This is to cover the cost of insurance, a legal requirement when operating a Drone commercially.
Charity
Any events or promotions for charities will be carried out at a reduced rate of charge if within a 20 mile radius of Weston-Super-Mare, subject to negotiation. We want to help as many people as possible and spreading recognition of charities is something District Drones holds close to its heart.
Recent Events
On the 12/07/25 we attended a Clevedon cars and coffees event! This was the unveiling of a monument to celebrate Clevedon's motoring history. The car you can see in the middle of the roundabout is a metal replica of a 1898 Stephens motorcar. the event organiser Mark, is a American who fell in love with Clevedon and its history. Clevedon Cars and Coffee is a regular event held in Clevedon. It spans multiple locations displaying different types of cars from super cars all the back to classic motors. District drones is immensely proud to be able to work with CCC on this historic unveiling of a new landmark in Clevedon. Keep your eyes peeled on ITV to see our footage in action!
